I’m Daniel Hopson—a part-time author, part-time artist, and full-time creative. I specialize in both commissioned work and personal projects, offering a wide range of services including writing, story development, illustration, and 3D modeling.
My path to storytelling hasn’t been a straight line—and that’s exactly what makes it interesting. I served six years in the United States Marine Corps before earning a degree in Public Administration. Since then, I’ve worked as a school teacher, a stockbroker, and spent six years living abroad in East Asia with my wife. Each chapter of my life has added a new layer of insight and perspective that I bring into my creative work.
My writing spans genres—from military science fiction and epic fantasy to nonfiction essays, poetry, and short stories. Whether I’m building vast fictional worlds or exploring real-life themes, my focus is always on crafting stories that resonate and engage.
On the visual side, I work across mediums—traditional pencil on paper, digital illustration, and 3D modeling with Blender. I love the challenge of turning abstract ideas into visual narratives, whether that means designing a book cover, illustrating a scene, or creating detailed concept art.
What ties it all together? A deep respect for storytelling in all its forms. I believe every project—no matter the size or format—deserves care, creativity, and craftsmanship.
